Imagine when all of these domains have websites revolving around their local citizens who may have used the video camera in his/her mobile phone, are available for tourists to review. As citizens create and upload interesting videos showing how tourists gain by employing that citizen to do whatever his/her video promotes, the proposed series of television shows will have much to share with the viewers. As Tourism Officials begin promoting the AsianHighwayNetwork, then asking viewers to click a flag, this project becomes within a few short years a major player in Asian Tourism.

I foresee and predict there will be a time when different locations will sponsor and support Asian Highway Network TV Shows focused upon their locations. There are already lots of travel related shows on cable television and many of those TV networks replay or rerun shows. This indicates that there is room for fresh material. Viewers will be taught that the show often uses their one minute or less promo video "as is", to show offerings in the various categories of Tourism. Perhaps a known personality is the show Host. Developing a common opening theme then clicking onto your country then selecting a Category to focus upon is a good beginning.

It is hoped that in the spirit of Public Private Partnerships, this forum and the contributors to it, will help insure the success of everyone involved. Register for an account now, and join the discussions.

D.K. Mason,
Chief Development Officer,
Tourism Division, Asia-Pacific Region
